Who is Scopely?
The hottest new consumer web startup in Los Angeles*, Scopely is in stealth mode preparing to disrupt a segment of the social web that is ripe for innovation. Our team of 17 engineers, data scientists, designers and product managers include former employees of Google, Wolfram Alpha, and Playdom along with a former luchadora, a street musician, and a Thiel fellow.
*What's that? You don't currently live in L.A.? We can fix that.
Scopely was founded by:
Eytan Elbaz was a founding member of Applied Semantics which created the AdSense product, and was acquired by Google in 2003 in a nine figure acquisition. Eytan then grew domain channel revenues to over $500M annually during his five years as Google’s Head of Domain Channel. He once threw a bullseye in darts ... blindfolded ... while riding a horse ... backwards.
Walter Driver was previously founder and CEO of O Negative Media, where he oversaw the development of social applications used by millions of users each month. Prior to O Negative, he co-founded Ignition Interactive whose social games were played by over 15 million users generating seven figure annual revenues. Raised by wolves, he subsists entirely on a diet of raw meat and 5-Hour Energy drinks.
Ankur Bulsara, pictured above drinking a martini and coding with only his eyes, previously led the engineering team that built the MySpace Developer platform and was the founder of Brainwave Software Consulting.

Who we're looking for
- Mobile Developers English is your second language after Objective C. Android is your middle name. You've built and shipped killer mobile applications on one or more platforms and you can't wait to do it again.
- User Experience (UX) Designers Air-tight PRDs and Wireframes are your sonnets, and you're a Poet Laureate. Quora, Pinterest and Flipboard call you for advice on their next gen user experiences. Jonathan Ive openly refers to you as "my inspiration."
- Front-End Engineer You dream in Javascript. The first version of hypertext has your name as an easter egg. Never has a single user on any of the sites you've built, no matter what their browser environment, had a sub-fantastic experience.
- Software Engineers We're language agnostic. We care more about your technical artistry than which tools you use. Maybe you're into Ruby or Node.js, perhaps Python or PHP. Or, maybe JAVA is your cup of tea. Regardless of your chosen weapon, you're a developer through and through.
- General Startup Talent You're an army of one. Whether it's product, marketing, analytics, monetization or office management, you're getting it done faster and better than everyone else. Don't be shy, we want to hear from you.
- Yes, we're willing to relocate and/or sponsor our employees. It's a small price to pay for world-class talent.
